The Carlow Association is community group based in London that is committed to celebrating the Irish exprience of Carlovians living in the UK’s capital.
The group organises events and meetings throughout the year and stay in touch via social media and their website.
The site was designed back in 2006 and has undergone very little change since. The style is based upon the flag of Carlow of red, yellow and green and despite the massive shift in online design in recent years, the organisers continue to be happy with it. Not bad for a website nearly ten years old.
The site was built using one of the earliest forms of WordPress that did not allow for custom post types or much user manipulation. As a result, the design continues to use a lot of custom PHP code originally created when the site first launched.
